CALLIOPE CAL 3027
SESSIONS, LIVE

MJQ / HERB JEFFRIES – CHICO HAMILTON / GEORGIA CARR

Near the end of Calliope Records production run the company began to repeat material that had been released previously on LP.  Side two of Calliope CAL 3027 with the Chico Hamilton Quintet and Georgia Carr had been released as side two of CAL 3011.  Readers wishing to review the production script for Stars of Jazz show #26 can view it at our entry for CAL 3011, it will not be duplicated here.  The two labels are presented side by side for comparison.  The only difference is the order of tunes with The Ghost and Blue Sands exchanging positions.

Bobby Troup announces that this is program #102, once again the numbering got off track earlier in the series.  This was the 101st show.
